Sky Meadows Ranch is an old Dude Ranch that was owned and operated by Tom and Nita Whited. In the late 60's it was converted to a community recreation development. Sky Meadows is 480 acres in size including 35 acres of common grounds, buildings and meadows. The Lodge is located in the middle of the common grounds and has breath-taking views of the Cle Elum and Teanaway River valleys and Stuart Mountain range. Surrounding the Lodge are a bunkhouse, cabana with club room, swimming pool, tack shed, work shop, garage and corrals. The community is a wonderful blend of full time residents and week-end recreational seekers. The 100,000 acre L.T. Murray Wildlife Recreation Area borders the community. The L.T.Murray area is one of Washington's most beautiful and scenic preservations and makes for hundreds of miles of mountain trails with outstanding motorized and non-motorized recreation. Four wheel, motorcycle and horse back riding are popular as well as hiking in the spring, summer and fall. In the winter Sky Meadows is a winter wonderland with about 600 miles of connecting groomed snowmobile trail riding right from your property. This community is governed by a homeowners association. The elected Board of Trustees represents members and directs the operation of the Sky Meadows Association. A full time caretaker works for the Board of Trustees and resides on the property.
